Your Digital Agency and Your Online Strategy

If you don’t think you have any need for a digital agency, you may be interested to read this. BBC figures show that UK consumers spent £33 billion online in 2009. And it’s easy to see why: the simplicity and convenience of the internet has massively increased the amount of people buying anything from food to televisions online. Still, £33 billion’s an impressive amount. What’s your company doing to earn itself a piece of that pie.

The whole globe’s going digital. The high street may as well be online now. The good news is the massive opportunity that online retail is offering to businesses. This is especially true for smaller companies who might not have the high street presence they crave. Everybody’s equal online. Or at least, there’s definitely the potential for everyone to be. Just ask your digital agency! This means that even the smallest company can reach new customers easily providing their digital strategy’s good.

Sadly, too many companies neglect their digital strategy. At this interval it is important to mention that simply owning a website does not count as a digital strategy. Do you see any point in owning a website that doesn’t get updated, isn’t easy to use and is even harder to find.

Smaller companies often find that the investment required to employ a digital agency can be overwhelming. But there’s no question that it’s worth the money: your return on investment will only ever be limited by consumer demand for whatever goods or services you’re selling.

It can seem scary to allow a digital agency to manage everything about your web strategy. However, consider your digital strategy as a well-oiled machine with many components like web design, web development, SEO, e-mail marketing, PPC and copy-writing, amongst others. When just one of these cogs stops working, the whole machine could stall. Finding the expertise to manage each cog of the online presence machine in-house will be either impossible or costly in terms of time and money. It’s lucky then that your digital agency has the talent to manage all of this under one roof. If just one company could build you a user-friendly website that’s as attractive to the human eye as it is the Google robots that scan it then provide you with the tools to keep it updated easily and then improve the site’s visibility and that of your brand using their web marketing expertise, you’d jump at the chance to hire them, wouldn’t you? And that’s why you need a digital agency.
