Constructing A Roulette Strategy

I am going to speak today about using a roulette strategy and what the two sides are to it. It is important to understand that there are two sides to a roulette strategy because this will help you to come up with an effective playing method.

Bet selection is the first side. You will always need to think about where on the table you are going to be placing your bets, having a plan is much better than just guessing what to do. There are a few different mindsets that you can have with regards to bet selection.

Firstly there is the sleeper method, which is common. To use this method you place your bet on a part of the table that has not come up recently. Therefore, if a dozen has not come up recently you will need to place your bet on this, you will have to use a progressive betting system if you lose too.

The problem with strategies like this is that they’re regarded as a fallacy because a roulette wheel has no memory. I would advise you to test this out on a free roulette game first, before you play with real money.

Covering a large part of the table through a combination of bets is another thing that your bet selection could be based on. What you need to understand though is that no system can overcome the odds that are built into the layout of the game.

The second side to a roulette strategy is the amount that you’re going to bet on each spin. Over the long term you will only lose money betting the same amount on every spin as the house edge will destroy your bank roll bit by bit.

One way of getting around this is to use a progressive system such as the Martingale, D’Alembert or Labouchere. With these systems you will be able to win for some longer periods of time, but you can also lose a lot with them too.
